Connecting With Others in the Albemarle County Public School Division

The vertical team mission for the 2009-2010 school year is to innovate, systematize, and operationalize curriculum, assessment, and instruction.

Vertical team members are responsible for:

• Establishing year-long goals and setting priorities in their assigned content areas

• Providing recommendations for division-level strategic planning

• Contributing to important curriculum work in the division

• Serving as a communication liaison across schools and between central office and their schools

• Participating in regularly scheduled meetings (At least 4, but no more than 8)

• Participating in subcommittees with specific goals

• Soliciting input and feedback from teachers to inform the work of the Vertical Team

• Facilitating leadership to complete projects in assigned areas
